99% OF HUMANITY
I’ve just been playing the visually impressive PlayStation 2 game Transformers for the last thew hours. The game can be rather unforgiving at time as you can easily get swarmed with bad guys that madly fire their blasts in hope of killing you. The game has a lot of freedom and that’s one of its strongest points. The maps are huge and the player is not only expected to explore the open-ended maps but is required to in order to find better power ups. My biggest and only complaint would have to be the lack of an auto lock-on targeting system however for a license game it’s got a lot of good things going for it and few shot comings.
On the Sunday afternoon I went over to Jay and Patricia’s flat. I was greeted by the two of them in the midst of playing Killer Instinct on the Super Nintendo. I haven’t played Killer Instinct, let a lone a real Super Nintendo, in years. Most of the “Killer Instinct-ing” took place much latter in the night (mostly to provide a brake from watching videos) Jay provide to be a fun and skillful appoint, and while none of us where ever taking score I’d safely say she more then likely out did me for most of it
I find Jay is always fun to be around. She seems easily approachable and down to earth. It’s always a delight to see the look of joy in her eyes whenever she gets eagerly excited about something or anything. I lent her two books, The Anime Essentials and Anime: A Guide To Japanese Animation. Hopefully they’ll both get something out of it being Anime fans.
Despite an unsuccessful campaign to watch the classic movie, Predator, last Friday night, I couldn’t oppose when Jay attempted to request it tonight. We joked about Schwarzenegger and the Predator’s stealthful skills. By the end of the night we had made rather a mess of the Lounge room from all the food we had consumed. While I was discouraged from any from of cleaning up I couldn’t help but feel guilty. However I was assured that’s what the next morning was for.
